Venus in Scorpio sits exactly quincunx Uranus in Gemini today — as close to perfect as an aspect gets. The quincunx is the angle of things that will not line up: two bodies with nothing in common, forced into contact and obliged to adjust. Venus governs what we value and who we are drawn to; Uranus unsettles and breaks routine. Together they produce a day when affections and preferences do not sit where they sat yesterday, and no obvious reason presents itself. Attachment feels slightly out of step with itself.
Venus is the apex of a yod, the figure's whole pressure landing on her. The two feet are Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries, which have been in sextile for years — standing furniture, generational background. Today Venus quincunxes both at once and makes that long background briefly personal. Venus also carries a separating square from Pluto, which adds intensity to whatever is being reconsidered. The useful thing about a yod is that the apex has to do the adjusting; nothing is resolved by the feet moving. Whatever needs accommodating around what you want, it is your accommodation to make.
The Moon in Capricorn is exactly square Mercury in Libra, and both stand in a T-square with retrograde Saturn in Aries, the Moon at its apex. This figure is separating — it loosens through the day rather than tightening. While it holds, it produces the specific friction of feeling one thing and having to say another: the Moon in Capricorn wants the matter settled and contained, Mercury in Libra wants it weighed and balanced, Saturn opposite Mercury sets a limit against both. Conversations begun under it tend to run into a wall of practical objection. This sits harder for anyone with Sun or Moon in the cardinal signs, and the sky is cardinal-heavy today — six of the ten bodies.
Against that, Mercury is applying to a sextile with Jupiter in Leo, and it is the day's one contact that tightens rather than loosens. It is the opening in an otherwise pressured set of aspects: a widening of perspective, an argument that gets larger and more generous than the one you were prepared to have. Where the T-square narrows the conversation, this is what can widen it back out.
Sun in late Virgo is separating from a sextile to Mars in Cancer — steady working energy, past its peak but still available — and applying to a quincunx with Chiron, which moved into Aries only four days ago and will be a standing condition for some time. The Sun's brush with it is brief.
A day for making the adjustment yourself rather than waiting for the circumstance to change. Where something you want does not fit the shape of the day, move your own position slightly and see what that frees.
