Moon in Scorpio

The Moon is in Scorpio, the sign Ptolemy names as its fall because it sits opposite Taurus, where the Moon first begins to grow in light. The Moon's gifts are softness, adaptability and ease of manner, and in fall those gifts are at their weakest. Feeling still runs, but it bends less readily and lets go more slowly. Mercury and Venus share the sign, so thought and affection carry the same weight. The Moon has just passed a square to Jupiter, and the friction between mood and easy optimism is easing.

The steadiest contact in the sky is Mars trine Saturn, and it is tightening. Mars in Leo brings ambition, executive ability and the push toward new projects. The Sun in Libra, also in fall, is moving toward a sextile with Jupiter in Leo. It is a supportive contact that favours generosity and goodwill. With the Sun weakened, that goodwill tends to show more in modest gestures than in grand ones.
