Daily Teaching

Learn astrology one idea at a time. Every day we explain one subject from today's sky in plain words: a planet, a sign, an aspect. Every teaching stays in the archive for you to come back to.

Today's teaching

Uranus quincunx Lilith

Uranus quincunx Black Moon Lilith joins two points a hundred and fifty degrees apart: the planet of sudden change and the point that marks a lack or an unmet wish, linked across signs that share neither element nor mode.

Uranus is the urge to break from whatever has set rigid and to be oneself. It gives originality, invention and the sudden flash of insight. It also gives wilfulness, restless impatience and change pursued for its own sake. Held down, it does not fade. The pressure builds until it breaks out. Astrocábala places it at Hokhmah, the second Sephirah, as wisdom grasped by intuition. It holds that people who can take change in suffer it less, and that creativity is born from Uranus's tension. The planet takes about eighty-four years to circle the zodiac, some seven years in each sign.

What you learn each day

One focused lesson each day

Not a horoscope. A short, self-contained idea from a real written source, chosen so you learn something you did not know before.

Chosen from today's sky

Each day's subject comes from the sky above us now, so you learn it while you can watch it happen. The lesson is written to stay true whenever you come back to it.

The why, not only the what

Each teaching gives the reason astrology reads a planet, a sign or an aspect the way it does, so you can recognise it and read it on your own.

Three traditions, side by side

Where classical, kabbalistic and modern astrology read a subject differently, the teaching names each view and says which one we follow.

Go deeper

The daily teaching is the sky in general. A reading is about your chart.

The same sky lands differently on different charts. A personal reading looks at your own placements and what is actually being touched in your chart right now.
