Venus trine True Node
Venus trine True Node is the angle of 120 degrees between Venus and the North Node, one of the two points where the Moon's path crosses the Sun's.
Venus is the urge towards other people: affection, pleasure, beauty, art, and the exchange of giving feeling and wanting it returned. The same energy runs to kindness, refined taste and easy reconciliation. It also runs to self-indulgence, emotional demands and affection held back. The old tradition counted Venus a benefic, second only to Jupiter. That is its verdict, and the same tradition lists jealousy and disorder among what Venus can produce. In Astrocábala, Venus stands at Netzah, Victory. Netzah is the life of the senses and the search for the ideal complement, and its task is to raise the instincts without denying them.
The Nodes always stand exactly opposite each other and move backwards. They mark the chief areas of ease and difficulty in a life, patterns that recur so that the whole person develops. The South Node shows where one comes from, and the North where one is going. Astrocábala reads the Nodes through tikun, repair: subjects not yet addressed and debts still to settle. It holds that they touch only those who put off that work, and that they move slowly enough to leave time for it.
The trine joins two energies so that they flow together without anything new having to be built. It gives a stable centre and restores balance after disturbance. The old tradition calls it good. Modern practice, which we follow, names its risk beside its gift: ease that slides into passivity, and gifts taken for granted because nothing forces the effort they need. An aspect does not say whether something will be achieved. It says how much effort that will ask.
Read together, the trine lets Venus feed the North Node without friction. Affection, pleasure, taste and the wish to be close become an easy route towards what is still outstanding in a life. Because the Nodes always face each other, a planet in trine to the North Node is in sextile to the South. Venus therefore also opens a channel to where one comes from, one that rewards a little deliberate effort. The risk is the trine's own. Comfort with Venus's pleasures can stand in for the work the Node holds open, and the pull towards self-indulgence meets no resistance.
A trine between two bodies in the sky of a given day often marks calm returning after a period of confusion. With the Node involved, Astrocábala asks for love turned towards something higher than appetite, and put to use settling what is still open.
